The CGA team offers a wealth of experience in strategic communications planning, writing, design, qualitative research and project management.
Cynthia Glacken, President and Founder
In 1981, impassioned by a belief that nonprofit organizations must powerfully communicate their missions in order to make the greatest contribution to the world, Cynthia Glacken founded the communications and design firm that bears her name. For over twenty years, CGA has produced acclaimed communications strategies, brand identities, marketing publications and ad campaigns. An award-winning writer, Cynthia has also been recognized for her work motivating boards of directors of non-profit organizations and leading educational seminars on subjects such as breakthrough thinking, leadership and high performance. She pursued graduate studies at Tufts University and Boston University School of Communications and holds a B.A. in English from Regis College.
Bob Hartman, Art Director/Senior Designer
For more than a decade, Bob Hartman has created and implemented design strategies at CGA. Distinguishing Bob's design is a singular respect for the written word, evidenced by his sensitive typography. His sophisticated aesthetics ensure that our client's messages are beautifully communicated but never overwhelmed. Specializing in brand identities, case statements, annual reports and viewbooks, Bob has worked in graphic design for over twenty years for clients including Chase Manhattan Bank, Dun & Bradstreet, Merck & Co. and Medical Economics. He holds an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and an M.S. in historic preservation from Columbia University.
